Who Are We

The Kairos Impact Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit comprised of a team of nonprofit and business professionals who, in partnership with their resident managers, corporate partners and donors, have come together to make a positive impact for the underserved.

The Foundation strives to improve the quality of life and socioeconomic status for low-income residents living within Kairos Investment Management Company apartments and their communities by providing access to enriching social impact programs, services, and additional resources. By delivering our social impact programs and resources we hope to help families make ends meet, reduce daily stress and take care of daily family needs.

As a guiding light for these programs, the Foundation identified 6 specific UN Sustainable Goals that align with our purpose and our ultimate Impact Goal of helping families reach Economic Stability.

About Kairos Impact Foundation

In 2016, Kairos Investment Management Company (Kairos) launched their affordable strategy. Along with it, a seed was planted to provide a positive impact on the residents who live in the communities acquired through this strategy. Kairos CEO, Carl Chang has consistently said that “Achieving measurable impact is not the result of a single action. Instead, it is the result of a series of actions that lead to the ultimate outcome. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.”

We are pleased to launch this Foundation as a direct result of the positive outcomes of the social programs provided to our residents since 2017. Our successful model of maximizing investments has not changed, and we pledge our commitment to be good stewards of our constituents’ gifts.

The Foundation has adopted best practices, industry approved frameworks and research to shape our model for social impact and to guide our selections of programs and services for residents. We invite you to join us by donating or learning about our programs to see how we’re making an IMPACT!

Help Us Make An Impact!

Our Social Impact Model

The Kairos Impact Foundation has developed a robust social impact model which is shaped by adopting best practices and industry approved frameworks. Our model fits into existing and well documented research-based initiatives and is flexible enough to allow for programs and services to be customized to fit the needs of our diverse demographic base. Across the board, our model is easily replicated each time a new location is added, and we launch programs and services quickly. Our objective is to begin providing that positive impact as soon as we can.

We have committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and have identified 6 global goals to which we contribute.

We have committed to the Social Determinants of Health as researched through Healthy People 2030 (Health.gov) and are focused on Economic Stability; one of the 5 key domains.

We have committed to ensuring best practices in meeting affordable housing industry standards in what we measure by adhering to the Multifamily Impact Council’s Framework.

We have committed to ensuring best practices in how we measure by utilizing the 5 Steps of the Cycle of Impact Measurement in a System of Resident Coordination published by Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF).
